About you:
Hello, my name is Philip Hooghe and I’m a 21 years old boy from Inglemunster, Belgium. I’m a Sous-Chef at a local restaurant called Nata. Besides the 2 times a week i visit the gym im not a real atleet. I still live at home (that doesnt mean dad and mom have any say in what i do).
About your character
I’ve been playing World of Warcraft since August 2005 and my first character was a Night Elf Rogue. So, I’ll start talking about my classes/experience, since I’ve been playing WoW.
As I said, I used to be playing a Night Elf Rogue, all the way up to Wrath of the Lich King. Its name was Lionas and used to be on Turalyon EU PvE Server. Being a Rogue for all these years made me look for a new competitive challenge, thus I created a Death Knight, as I found it to be the perfect class for me to re-roll.
Currently this character can be found as/at:
Name: Morté
Race: Undead
Level: 80
Realm: Stormscale
Armory Link:
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... Mort%C3%A9And so, since November 2008, and despite some ‘nerfs’ Death Knights have been getting, I’ve been playing this Hero Class, loyal and endlessly in love with it. Its original name was Morté (The one I’ve now gave to my Rogue) and also used to be on Turalyon.
At the moment my Death Knight can be found as/at:
Name: Zagdon
Class: Death Knight
Spec:17/0/54 (without Reaping)
Race: Orc
Gear: I have a philosophy: No one knows everything! – That’s while I always lookup, daily, on forums to improve my character. My main source for this kind of research is the Elitistjerks forum.
Gem choice :
I use the + 21 agility and 3% Increased Critical Damage Meta gem cause it only requires 1 blue socket wich is being covered by the Nightmare Tear you see in my chest. Once my Hit and Expertise soft caps are reached i gem all out on strenght since its the main stat a DPS Death Knight should focus on. As u can see i used 2x + 10 Strenght and + 10 Critical Strike Rating gems so im able to grab the + 8 Strenght bonus, anything below 8 Strenght as a bonus isnt worth taking in my opinion.
Armory Link: for some reason my armory page wont open once fixed i will provide the link
Tools:
So, as for my unit interface, I’m using DBM (Deadly Boss Mods) as my standard raiding add-on, nothing really to tell about it, just the usual helpful raiding tool. Then I’m using a Damage Meter, Omen and ForteXorcist, which are my main “self-improvement” add-ons – The Damage Meters I consider a must, if you ask me, for any dps class, since it is imperative to have some kind of “healthy” competition between all the dps classes as long as they don’t get into a conflict with each other or exceed their threat, but that’s where Omen becomes handy. As for the ForteXorcist, is mainly for my comfort, it helps me keeping track of my diseases times, procs from talents or trinkets, basically it’s an excellent tool to maximize my dps. Finally, I also use Rune – This add-on tells me which runes are on cooldown and which are ready to use (in an easier way than having to look under my character’s portrait).

You in World of Warcraft:
Experience:
In Classic World of Warcraft:
Dutch-Inc and Vessel of Rebirth were my two, only, raiding guilds. I did raid (in the end of this World of Warcraft chapter, so a few months before The Burning Crusade) with DrAmA as well, although always as a guest, even though I would be part of their ranks in The Burning Crusade, still that is yet to be mentioned.
So, as I was in Dutch-Inc and Vessel of Rebirth I’ve managed to clear Molten Core, Onyxia’s Lair, Blackwing Lair, Zul’ Gurub and Ruins of Ahn’ Qiraj, Molten Core being the only instance I’ve cleared while in Dutch-Inc and all the others while in Vessel of Rebirth. Then, later on and as mentioned above, I’ve raided with DrAmA as a guest and cleared up to Princess Huhuran in Temple of Ahn’ Qiraj as well as whole Spider Wing and Abomination Wing (this last one up to Gluth) in Old Naxxramas.
In World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade:
As I started my adventures in this brand new and shiny continent (Hello Outland!),I was still part of Vessel of Rebirth, but as soon as the dream became a reality (this being: my first raid in Karazhan) I saw an open door, for me, to join DrAmA. I took upon this chance with the illusion they were still as worthy as in Classic World of Warcraft, although it did not take long to see this coin had a second face… Upon the successful clear of Karazhan and Grull’s Lair, the guild started to fall apart and I couldn’t give up of my ambitions to see all the content in this 25£ expansion! Quickly I’ve got the hand of a friend of mine, who used to be an officer in Wasted (his character being called Lrdjames) and got accepted in this one guild. During the next couple of months I’ve had a hell of a great time and with the Wasted tag under my name I’ve seen Lady Vashj, Kael’ Thas and Illidan kissing the floor. Right before The Wrath of the Lich King we still manage to free Kalecgos from those horrifying dreams, Brutallus taste his very own tail and Felmyst rest in peace along with that pile of bones. Eventually we did some attempts at those Twins! Oh, I almost forgot… Those trolls lost in a sinister temple named after Zul’ Aman also seen their ass wipe very quick, unfortunately I’ve never been a good gambler and the Bear has never been in my pocket, guess that’s why I’ve always faced that Warlock and his minions with all my anger, showing no mercy to their god as well.
In World of Warcraft – The Wrath of the Lich King:
Alright, I had my coat, my socks and my glengarry out of the closet, so pretty much ready for temperatures under the zero degrees. So I went to Stormwind (still with my Rogue), all excited to go and visit that new place at north… So there I was! Borean Thundra! But… Yeah… My glengarry couldn’t cover my ears and shit goes wrong… My Night Elf got a cold and I started a Death Knight. So, I power levelled my Death Knight as quick as I could and in a short space of time, ding 68; let’s try this again and this time I didn’t have to worry, as with that Frost Stance I was quite used to low temperatures.
As I and my partners dinged to 80, the adventure through Naxxramas and Heroics started, but not everything was pink and sweet. I started to feel I had this kind of curse: Philip, every time you enter a new expansion your guild will be hit by a truck and lose a leg. Yup, it was about to happen again and even though Wasted still exists, a huge bunch of their core members left. So a new guild called Dreamcatcher was born and the truth is that we really followed a dream in order to catch it.
We cleared Naxxramas Normal and Heroic (10/25), we have done Sartharion with all three Drakes up, Malygos (You Don’t Have An Eternity – Achivement) and we started Ulduar… Hold on… We disbanded… I’m quite embarrassed already, seriously, what the f*ck have I done to deserve this? Oh well, the reasons were a lot different this time. Our guild master decided to talk rude about our members during a guild meeting and someone posted it on YouTube - I could try to fix you the link (if it still exists) if you interested in watching it. Ok, so the dream dies what we do? We faceroll the keyboard! Those who were together, still, formed a guild called Faceroll and since I had nowhere else to go, I facerolled with them. We literally rolled our faces until there were no keys left, which means Ulduar 25 got cleared but in the end that wasn’t enough to keep the guild alive as it died in around two months. At that time I really just had it, for real, so I decided to cross-realm and apply to Passion, as I had been looking for a guild on the European forums. Here we managed some Hard Modes, like Flame Leviathan (4 towers), Heartbreaker, the lady and her kitties, Freya and one tree, Firefighter!, General Vezax and we attempted Algalon and Yogg-Saron with one of his mind controlled slaves, but with no success these last two. Ulduar 10 came down in a much quicker pace and even Algalon had to give up as he couldn’t handle it. As for Call of the Crusade (10 and 25 man), was with all the pleasure I fought along with my Alliance companions and poured all those monsters’ blood in that arena. Now with all our attentions turned to the Call of the Grand Crusader (10 and 25 man), we managed to complete the Tribute of Insanity (for 10man) and defeat all but Anub’arak (in 25man).
In Onyxia’s Lair the end wasn’t much different either, we did had a couple of gnomes in the raid which made it easier to avoid the deep breaths, but still, she did die in both 10 and 25 man!
Right you might be wondering now: “So what the f*ck happened with Passion?” Well simple answer, this was the number one guild on the server, but the reason for their open recruitment was related with the fact some core members had left the guild and at the moment we aren’t any better than the number eight in the server. I can already feel the guild’s ground shaking and honestly I didn’t see things that bright for our future and as i expected it went downhill. My last guild was <Balance> located on Grim Batol, during my stay we were nr 35 world wide but for me it seemed i had somekind of curse on me after some time things where going great untill it got disturbed by rl being my job, due to unexpected circumstances i had to work a double shift to replace someone who got fired and so i was forced leave the guild and i have been a social for about 2 months i think.
In addition I leave you with some logs (WWS): (These reports are more or less over 2 months old due to work i didnt had time to raid anymore and so ive been a social player for that time.)

Note: Keep in mind that on Faction Champs I was on kitting duty.

Applying to Furious Few:
Now, as for why I would like to join your guild… I’m not going to walk around that matter; I like to get back into raiding and be part of an elite group and every time things started to look good, all went down to nothing. , this is the best ranked horde guild on the server with the concept of 3 raid days and maintaining a steady progress is something im really looking for. All I want is to play with a good bunch of people and see the whole game, unfortunately in all these years I concluded that if I want to be in a guild ‘forever’ and avoid jumping from guild to guild due to disbands or conflicts, then I got to aim for higher standards. I mean take the example of Wasted, I was happy there and they weren’t the best guild on the server, but I was able to see most of the content pre-nerfs, still they didn’t ‘resist’ the transition to the second expansion of World of Warcraft. I am really a dedicated player; I give out all I have and all I don’t have. I like to be part of progress and all the procedures that involves progress. I do not get easily offended and I hope people don’t get easily offend with me either. I don’t neglect the fact that I am a bit stubborn sometimes, but that does not mean I can’t listen to others, because I can and I will.
Other:
- Hardware and Connection: My connection is safe and don’t have any problems with disconnects or lag. In fact it’s very rare for me to have a disconnection, unless my cat decides to play around with cables, but that’s why I always give him some cake before raids.
-Goals: For now seeing the Arthas fall would be on top of the list. In general my Goal is to improve and be the best as i can and facing new challenges to come with <Furious Few>.
-Attendance:I am able to join all of the raids – In general I have no problems at all with extended raid nights, if it is required for progress.
-Extra Information :
I always listen to music while PvPing alone.
I use key binds.
I’m addicted to Team Speak/Ventrilo social talk.
I think gnomes are evil.
I don’t like football.
I love party.
I love Spain’s weather.
I’m single…
Last of all… In case you want me to clear anything I might have not mentioned in my application then go ahead and shoot.
Looking forward to hear from you soon and thanks alot for your time!
Philip.
